Wm R. (Bill) Simonette, CFP

Wm. R. (Bill) Simonette, CFP age 73 of Mankato, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2024 at home. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am Saturday, March 23, 2024 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church 632 S. Broad St. in Mankato, with Fr. John Kunz, Celebrant. Military honors will be held immediately following services.

The Simonette family will greet friends on Saturday morning for one hour prior to services at the church. All are invited to lunch and fellowship following the service. In lieu of flowers please buy a nice lunch for a neighbor or two.

  Bill was born December 10, 1950 to Roger and Mary (Bauer) Simonette.

He served his country in the United States Marine Corps in Vietnam. He married Josie (Bridgmon) in 1971, they enjoyed 52 years together. Bill and Josie worked side by side owning Diversified Financial Services for decades. He was involved with Sertoma, The Schola Foundation, SSND and the Eagle Lake America Legion. At the time of his death, he was the commander of the Le Center VFW Post 1803. Bill loved to fly, hunt, work, ride his Harley and enjoy a good glass of scotch.

  He is survived by his wife Josie; daughter, Tina (Chris) McAlpine and their children, Haley, Jake and Lauren; son, Todd (Nicole) Simonette and their children, Lexi, Olivia and Julia; siblings; siblings-in-laws; cousins and a multitude of special friends.
