   Gregg J. Anderson, age 53 of Mankato, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2020 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems-St. Mary’s Campus, Rochester.
   A Celebration of Gregg’s Life will be Thursday, July 30, 2020 at 4 P.M. at Woodland Hills Chapel in Mankato, with Pastor Del Begalka officiating. Private interment will be in Hillside Cemetery in Minneapolis.
   The Anderson family will greet friends on Thursday afternoon for one hour prior to services at Woodland Hills Funeral Home. With the current Covid-19 restrictions we ask that everyone attending the visitation and service please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
   Gregg John was born on March 26, 1967 to John and Janice (Annis) Anderson in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He graduated from Burnsville High School and furthered his education at the University of Minnesota Duluth and Mankato State University. For many years Gregg worked for Perkins Restaurant & Bakery setting up new establishments across the United States and Canada. Most recently he was employed at Consolidated Communications in Mankato as an IT Specialist. Gregg had a love for music. As a child he studied at the MacPhail Center for Music in Minneapolis. Over the years that lead to him being the keyboardist for the band 69 Cents in Mankato. He enjoyed metal detecting, geocaching, Pokémon Go, woodworking, gardening, and traveling.
   He is survived by his siblings, Sue Ellen (Flint) Sorlie of Niceville, FL, Todd Anderson of Melbourne, FL, and Sally Anderson of Farmington, MN; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; his beloved cats, Rocky and Bullwinkle.
   He was preceded in death by his father, John Anderson; mother, Janice Anderson Sharp; step-father, Earl Sharp.
