Carole J. Persson passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at her home in Mankato.  Memorial services will be held at 3pm, Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Woodland Hills Funeral Chapel.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.  Interment will be at Woodland Hills Memorial Park.  

She was born in Duluth, Minnesota in 1932 to Edward and Gladys Wilson and attended UMD Duluth for two years and after her husband, Henry, graduated from the University of Minnesota she completed her college education at Mankato State in 1972 with a BS degree in Business Education.  She was employed for 27 years at Mankato Ford and during those years served on the Mankato Technical College Accounting Committee, Mankato Technical College General Advisory Committee, Woodland Hills Board of Trustees, Administrative Management Society, National Association of Accountants, Professional Development Association, ISJ Auxiliary Treasurer and Hospice Volunteer.  

She enjoyed her good friends, wonderful dogs, reading, travel, skiing, biking, and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry, in 2000, mother and father, Gladys and Edward Wilson, and brother in law, Richard Coray.  Carole is survived by her sister, Lois Coray and her children.  

Memorials are preferred to the Mayo Health Hospice of Mankato.

The death of a loved one can bring many tears and pain but may your hearts be filled with wonderful memories of times spent together, and have comfort in God's promise of a time when death will be no more.(Revelation 21:4; Isaiah 25:8) My deepest sympathy to you all.

My sincere sympathy. Carole was a dear friend of many years.. We traveled all over the world together and shared many interests. I will miss her.
