Dagnie “Dag” Schulz, age 82 of Eagle Lake, died Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Oaklawn Health Care Center in Mankato.  Memorial services will be held at 1pm Monday, November 27, 2017 at Hosanna Lutheran.  Visitation will be held two hours prior to the services at the church.  Interment will be at Woodland Hills Memorial Park.  

Dagnie was born December 1, 1934 to Bernard and Hertha (Noetzelman) Schulz in Alexandria, Minnesota. He graduated from Alexandria High School. In 1956 he was drafted in the U.S. Army and served his country until his honorable discharge in 1962. On June 27, 1959 he was united in marriage to Marlys Vickerman in Garfield, Minnesota. After returning home from service Dagnie and Marlys moved to Eagle Lake and raised their family. For many years Dagnie worked in the Wholesale Plumbing and Heating industry. He was a charter member of Hosanna Lutheran Church in Mankato, the North Mankato American Legion Post # 518. He also served as a volunteer on the Eagle Lake Fire Department and was a member of the Retired Fire Fighters. Dagnie enjoyed camping and woodworking, and loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by wife, Marlys Schulz of Eagle Lake; children, Randy (Pam) of Plymouth, Scott, (Teresa) of Otsego, and Michele Schulz (special friend, Barry Cleasby and his daughter Grace) of Roseville: grandchildren, Ryan, Bradie, Jonah, and Katie; great-grandchildren, Emery, Eli, and Eastlyn.

Dagnie is preceded in death by his parents, father and mother-in-law, and sister
