Marvel Mae was born on September 25, 1926 to August and Lizzie (Reichenbach) Asal in Arlington, Minnesota.  She was united in marriage on August 30, 1946 to Albert J. Hildebrandt and was a homemaker and mother of 3 children.  After her children were grown, she worked part-time at Stelter’s Sewing Center.   She was a long time member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and later Mt. Olive Lutheran Church where she enjoyed making baptismal towels for the new babies.
She enjoyed her last 3 1/2 years living at Old Main Village where she crocheted with a fun group called “Twisted Stitchers”.  They would make blankets, hats and mittens for the needy.  She would always tell us about her latest project she was working on.
She is survived by her children and their families:  Larry Hildebrandt, (Sherry) of Eau Claire, WI, Nancy Rittenhouse, (Bryan) of Mankato, MN,  and Ann Gallup, (Jim) of Caledonia, MN.  She will be missed by her 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert.

What I remember best about Marvel was her great smile. Sorry for your loss.

I was saddened to read that Marvel had passed away. She was always a pleasure to be around and had a great personality. Her love for the Lord was very evident and she is now resting in his arms in heaven.
