    Darrel K. Voss, age 82 of North Mankato, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at his home.
    A Celebration of Darrel’s Life will be Thursday, April 11, 2019 at 11 A.M. at Woodland Hills Chapel in Mankato with Rev. Mike Omtvedt officiating.  Interment with military honors will be in Woodland Hills Memorial Park in Mankato.
    The Voss Family will greet friends on Thursday morning from 9 A.M. until the hour of services at Woodland Hills Funeral Home.
    Darrel Voss was born on October 30, 1936 to Orrion and Lora (Phillippe) Voss in Lyon County, Clifton Township, MN. He attended school in Marshall. On December 7th 1953 he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, served his country and was honorably discharged on December 6th, 1961. After his military service he returned to Marshall where he worked for Lockwood Motors and Hubbard Milling as a truck driver. Darrel met Ione Gladis in 1956 and they were married on October 5, 1957. They were blessed with 5 children. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and his family and friends. He passed his love of the outdoors on to his children and the value of a strong work ethic.
    He is survived by his wife of 61 ½ years of marriage, Ione (Gladis) Voss of North Mankato; daughter, Rebbecca (Dan) Rettedal of Brookings, SD; sons, Glen Voss of Mankato, Dale (Tammy) Voss of Menahga, Barry (Colleen) Voss and Doug (Michelle) Voss of Mankato; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and faithful dog, Joe.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Orrion and Lora Voss; 2 sisters; 4 brothers; mother and father-in-law, Joe and Helen Gladis; 3 brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
