Mattie Ferguson, 100, Mankato, formerly of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Cottagewood Senior Communities in Mankato.  Private family services will be held.

Mattie was born December 16, 1918 to Arthur and Winona (Hathaway) Mattson in Superior, WI.  She was united in marriage to Lloyd Arthur Wilson in Mankato in 1940.  Lloyd passed away in 1956.  In 1957 Mattie married Nels Ferguson.  She was a homemaker when her children were young and worked in Le Center assembling pool and ping pong tables and in Chanhassen at a hockey stick factory when her children were grown.  Mattie enjoyed crocheting making 100’s of afghans and doilies over the years.  She also enjoyed camping, traveling, playing cards, dice, and going dancing on Saturday nights in her younger years.  She enjoyed visiting her daughter and her family during the winter when they lived in Orlando.  Saturdays she would spend baking; making wonderful breads, rolls, pies, and cookies for the week.    Most of all she loved getting visits from her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol Sandland of Mankato; son, Mike Wilson of Tuscan, AZ; daughter in-law, Penny Wilson of Roseville; 10 grandchildren, Michael, Stacia, Lisa, Kari, Lloyd, Amanda, Kellie, Melinda, Danielle, Courtney, and their spouses; many great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Mattie is preceded in death by her husbands, Lloyd Wilson and Nels Ferguson; son, Gary Wilson; daughter and son in law, Judy and Kenneth Robb; son in-law, Dennis Sandland; daughter in-law, Terri Wilson; grandson, Christopher Sandland; and brother, and sister in-law, James and Elaine Mattson.

Grandma mattie, we spent alot of time together in the past a lot of great memories playing cards and talking. Your in a better place now, rest in peace grandma. Also to mom and dad i say hi and I love them.
