Joyce Marilyn Borneke

October 25, 1937 – June 8, 2019

Joyce was given the gift of life and now she needs to give it back. This is hard, but she was an amazing woman who led a lucky existence and for that she is grateful.

Joyce was diagnosed with Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer in 2006 and to the day of the death never became cancer free, knowing she was going to have cancer forever, she did not give up but rather continued to be joyful and thankful for everyday and every opportunity she had to be with friends and family even when she really didn’t have the energy to.

Amazingly this attitude worked for her and also rubbed off on others.

She never felt that her faith short changed her and she is at peace.

On the upbeat note, she takes her mortal leave of this sun rising & sun setting world and pulled up a chair to join her husband, mother, father, mother in law, father in law, 2 brothers, 2 sisters and many other family and friends in a good game of Pfeiffer and coffee drinking.

Joyce’s two daughters, son in law, 6 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 3 sisters in law and many other relatives are not grieving but are rejoicing knowing she lived a very full live and will continue to do so forever and ever.

Events will take place at Messiah Lutheran Church in North Mankato MN:
