Leaha Marie Johnson passed away at Mayo Clinic Health System- Mankato on Thursday, August 8, 2019.  She was 69 years old.  Leaha had been residing at Laurels Peak in Mankato for the last several years.

Leaha was born November 21, 1949 to Rueben and Bonnie (Iseman) Johnson of Butterfield, MN.  She was the oldest of 5 children.  She loved to cook, sew, crochet and quilt.  She was also a lover of books and would read as many as 3 books a day.  She spent hours making quilts and blankets for her loved ones.  She loved spending time with her family and friends and teaching them all how to sew and play games.  Monopoly and scrabble were her favorites and hours were spent making memories.  Cards were another one of her favorites and man could she win at them.  She touched the lives of all she met along her journey.  She will be missed by many.

Leaha is survived by her only daughter, Nicole Lynn (Jon) Masters of Madelia, MN; her grandson, Trever John Pulvermacher of Willmar, MN; her granddaughter, Rose Lee Susan Pulvermacher of Vernon Center, MN; her grandson, Blake Allen Masters of Madelia, MN; her brother, Ralph (Karen) Johnson of Ada, MN; sisters, Vernada Nelson of Osage, IA, Nancy Rupp of St. Cloud, MN; many nephews and nieces and special friends.  She didn’t have great grand babies yet, however, she took 5 little ones and made them hers, creating memories with them all.

She was preceded in death by her mother Bonnie; sister Roseann; brothers-in-law Louie and Ed.

Celebration of her life will be held Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at 2:00 pm. at Woodland Hills Funeral Home in Mankato with Pastor Jay Dahlvang officiating. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service. Woodland Hills Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
