   Ida Mae (Le Mire) Haefner passed away August 10, 2019 at Laurels Edge Assisted Living in Mankato.
   Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 14 at St. Peter and Paul’s Catholic Church in Mankato.  Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.  Woodland Hills Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
   Ida Mae was born in Henderson on January 2, 1930 to Grace (Frazar) and Luger Le Mire.  She attended school in Henderson.  Ida married Robert Haefner on June 13, 1950 in Henderson.  They lived in Mankato all their married life.
   Ida worked at Kresge Dime Store, Automatic Electric Company and worked many years for Mankato School District as a cook until she retired in 1995.  Ida is a member of St. Peter and Paul’s Catholic Church and Catholic Order of Foresters, St. Josephs Ct. 552.
   Ida was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She enjoyed her daughter, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Ida enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, summers at their cabin on Lake Jefferson and lunches with her friends.  She also enjoyed making quilts, word find puzzles and doing crafts.
   Ida is survived by granddaughters, Cheri Dowson and husband Jordan and Lisa Raddatz; grandson, Donald R Purcell; four great grandsons; one great granddaughter all of Iowa; sisters, Norma Deno and husband Clarence of Mankato and Margaret Cutkosky of Nevada; sister-in-law, Anna Marie Rohlfing of Cleveland, MN; many nieces and nephews.
   She was preceded in death by her husband on March 27, 2016 and by her daughter, Jayne Purcell; parents, Grace and Luger Le Mire; brothers and spouses, Ervin and Elizabeth Le Mire, Everett and Margaret Le Mire; sisters and spouses, Lucille and Anton Salfer, Marcella and Alvin Malz; father and mother-in-law, Andrew and Anna Haefner; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ann and Clem Haefner, Paul Rohlfing, Cletus and Valeria Frederick, Lorraine Haefner, Simon and Joan Haefner, Joann Haefner, Elfern and Jerome Haefner, Anthony and Phyllis Haefner, Bette and Allie Haefner, Sylvester Haefner, Barbara Ann Haefner and Dan Cutkosky.

Love, sympathy and prayers for family and friends. We worked with Ida at Mankato East High School and her daughter Jayne was a student of mine. Thanking God the Ida is a peace and reunited with her loved ones in Paradise. May cherished memories ease your grief and eventually bring you joy.
