Oh my. I remember Mike from when he used to bike with good friends of mine, back in the 1980's. He was such a nice kid. I am so sorry to hear about his accident. Sending my sympathies to all of you.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Mike was an amazing person with a huge heart and a passion to help. I was his supervisor at one of the group homes he worked at. The compassion he showed to his clients and his coworkers was next to none. The pain you feel is felt, at some level, by all of us he’s touched. I’m so thankful for the Mike you shared with the world and with me. I will remember him fondly. I pray the next season in your lives will be filled with hope, love, and peace. May you all find a little peace in knowing he was a wonderful person and a blessing to so so many.
To Mike specifically,
Thank you for your dedication and countless hours of conversation. The memories you share about your life will be cornerstones of hope for me. The strength you had in your heart was profound. The care you showed to our clients was more than what was required, I aspire to show the world the level of compassion you did. I’m thankful for you and your voice, humor, wisdom, and sarcasm will be missed by me and many more. Rest easy my friend, until I see you again. We love you.

I knew Mike in Boulder, CO in the late 80s and early 90s. We were friends, coworkers, and house mates at one time. I am heart-broken to learn that Mike passed away. He (and his bike) were bright lights down the labyrinth of my memories from all those years ago.
The last time I saw Mike, we went to see the Ahn Trio at the Boulder Public Library. We had lost touch over the years and connected on FB much to my delight.
I send my deepest condolences to Mike's loved ones and will continue to cherish my memories of Mike.
