Theodore “Ted” R. Annis, age 74 of Mankato died Friday, February 28, 2020 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Woodland Hills Chapel in Mankato.  Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday at Woodland Hills Funeral Home and will continue 1 hour prior to the service on Thursday.  Interment will be held at a later date at Woodland Hills Memorial Park.
   Ted was born December 26, 1945 in Mankato, MN to Lee Henry and Charlotte Pearl (Mason) Annis. He grew up in Mankato and attended West High School.  On June 29, 1974 he married Debra Kay (Lang) the love of his life in Madelia. Ted worked many years at Hubbard Milling and most recently was working for Blue Earth County Hazardous Waste.
   He enjoyed playing darts, cycle riding, stock car and compact car racing, visiting Las Vegas, but most of all he enjoyed time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.  He was a member of the Eagles Club and the Get Your Knees in the Breeze Cycle Club.
   He is survived by his wife Debra; daughters; Rhonda (Rodney) Barr, Mapleton, MN, Tonya (Shawn) Tierney, Monticello, MN, Jessica (Peter) Ybarra, North Mankato, MN; sons; Richie Annis, Mankato, MN, and Shane Annis (special friend Candice Growe); grandchildren; Jacob, Brandon, Taylor, Brooklyn, McKenna, Zoey and Brynley; great grandchild, Leighton; sisters; Carol (Richard) Redman, St. James, MN and Sandie (Robert) Haedt, Austin, MN; several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 grandsons, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
   Memorial donations may be made to the family.

My heart goes out to all of you - Ted was a kind man with a big heart; he was very loyal to his family and friends. He will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him. My deepest condolences for your loss.

I am so sorry of your loss . Ted was such a unique guy, very proud of his family and close friends, always there for family and friends as we are for him today . I am thankful for having him in part of my life. Ma,Ronda, Rich, Tonya, Shane and Jess may the sadness be lifted knowing your father is with our father may he Rest In Peace. Love you guys

To you the family...Teddy has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. He was a family friend and I personally have grown up with the kids. You all are a very strong, close family who have lost your Papa Bear...best wishes and deepest sympathies to you all. Draw support from your family!!
