May condolences Pat and family at Jack's passing. I remember what a spirited and fun colleague he was, always with a smile and a kind word at school and in our Skyline neighborhood.

He was an energetic educator, coach, and friend and impacted many, many lives with his service to our community. Good work, Jack.

My sympathy to Jack's Family,

What wonderful and fun memories of Jack when he was the assistant wrestling coach at West High. He and Klar were a twosome that cared about the students.

Pat, Suzanne, and family,

It was a privilege to share a large part of my career at West with Jack. As a teacher, he had high expectations that his students worked up to their ability and followed a few very simple rules like being on time, listening, and respecting one another. But my memories of Jack extend far beyond that. Jack really cared about kids. He could be "no nonsense", yes, but he also showed his students, and all West students, that he liked being around them, whether that meant wearing his red sweatshirt on game-days, participating in pepfest skits, or conversing with them in the hall. Jack was one of them in spirit, and untold students not only liked him, but more importantly, respected him.

Jack had a long and well-lived life. I am very sorry for your loss.

Pat and Family,
We shall uphold you in our thoughts and prayers as we all say good-bye to this legend!!! So many memories come to our minds. Such good times we had back in the Klar-Bengston era. Not only school related interactions but the fun we wives had also. I can hear that laugh like he was here now. Thanks for the memories and our sympathy to all of the family.
