Alvin Fred Stoltzman, age 70, of North Mankato, MN passed away Saturday, January 27, 2024 at his home, surrounded by his family. Memorial services will be held 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Woodland Hills Chapel in Mankato. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Military Honors will be provided by Mankato Area Veterans Memorial Squad. Interment will be at Woodland Hills Memorial Park.
Alvin was born July 6, 1953 in Mankato, MN to Rudy and Crystal (Van Guilder) Stoltzman. He grew up and attended school in Mankato. He served in the Navy from 1971-1975 and also the Naval Reserve from 1975-1977. Alvin married Paula Hansen in 1977 and they had two sons together, Troy and Ryan. He married LuAnn Brossard on August 20, 2023. Alvin worked for Kato Engineering, was a cable tech and also did carpentry. He loved watching Gunsmoke and other westerns and enjoyed sitting in his garage talking with all his neighbors and friends. He was a member of VFW Post #950.
Alvin is survived by his wife, LuAnn; sons, Troy Stoltzman of Mankato, Ryan (Kelly) Stoltzman of Good Thunder; 9 grandchildren; sisters, Cheryl (Todd) Simonson of Caney OK, Gail (Tom) Norris of Mankato, MN, Jackie (Dave) Fideler of Sioux Falls, SD; brothers, Robert (Pam Broviak) Stoltzman of North Mankato, MN, Kirt (Glenda) Stoltzman of Kingston, OK. He was preceded in death by sisters, Marlene Yowell, Marilyn Mortland, Ann Flatequal, Barbara Gannott, June Rayborn Sorrell, Susan Rollings and Dorothy Stoltzman; brothers, Butch Stoltzman and George Stoltzman.
