Anastasia Marie was born June 11, 1962 in Madison, Wisconsin at St. Mary’s Hospital, as her father was in the U.S. Air Force. In July of 1963, Anne with her mother and two older sisters, Pam and Kathy, flew to Paris, France where her father was stationed. She learned French as quickly and easily as she did English. In January of 1965 Anne’s sister was born in France and Anne used to tell her mother she did not care whether she got a brother or sister as long as it was a monkey. In May of 1966, with her parents and sisters she toured France, Spain, and along the Riviera. She grew to love France and always wanted to return for a visit. In 1966, Anne and her family returned to the States and lived in Dover, Delaware until September 1967, when her father was sent to Vietnam. Anne, her mother, and sisters lived in Austin until he returned in July of 1968. In August of 1968 her family moved to Athens, Greece where Anne attended an American School, and then for 2 years attended a Greek/American Academy ran by Nuns of the Ursline Order. In February of 1971, Anne and her family moved back to the U.S. to Montana. In September they then moved back to Austin as her father was sent back to Vietnam. In December of 1972 Anne and her family moved to Oklahoma where she learned to ride horses and became quite a horsewoman, riding in competition, were she earned many trophies. In July of 1973, they moved back to Austin, her parents then divorced. Anne graduated from Pacelli High School in 1980, and that same year was a contestant in the Miss Austin Pageant. After high school Anne attended Albert Lea Vocational School. In May of 1986 she met and fell in love with Mark Kermes. Anne then graduated in June of 1986 and moved to Wisconsin. Mark followed but they both missed the home area and came back 6 months later. In September of 1987, Mark gave to Anne something that the doctors had told her she would never have, a child, a son, Jordan Phillip Kermes. Mark and Anne have grown in their love for each other and for Jordan, the joy of their life. She received the gift of the Holy Ghost and was baptized in August of 1999. In Fon du Lac, Wisconsin.
