Anita Comstock-Riese passed away April 5th, 2023.  Born February 13th, 1938.

Anita moved to Mankato in 1951 and graduated from Mankato High School 1956 and married to Gary Riese in 1958.  Anita was active with her husband Gary in many local business ventures.  

She also enjoyed ice skating and roller skating with her children and friends.  

Anita is survived by her children, Penny (Paul) Weckman, Jolene (Larry) Michels, and Carl Riese.  Grandchildren, Andrew (Sara) Weckman, Michael Weckman, Jessica (Kevin) Haiar, Brett (Alicia) Michels, Madison (Benson) Kleinschmidt.  Great Grandchildren, Millie and George Weckman, Michael and Thomas Haiar.  Sister, Diane (John) Mell.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Allen & Maxine Comstock, brother Allen Comstock, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

A Celebration of Anita’s Life is will be Friday, April 21, 2023 at 11:30 A.M. at Woodland Hills Chapel in Mankato, with Pastor Matt Sipe officiating. Interment will be in Woodland Hills Memorial Park in Mankato. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be sent to Riverside Pet Shelter (1250 North River Drive, Mankato) or Hilltop United Methodist Church (108 South Manitou Drive, Mankato).
