Ardis Grotta

Ardis Grotta, 93, died Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at her home. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at 1 P.M. at Woodland Hills Memorial Park in Mankato. woodlandhillsfh.com

Ardis was born October 1, 1930 in LaSalle to Arthur and Angela (Noren) Benson.  She was united in marriage to Donald Grotta on February 18, 1956 in LaSalle.  Ardis loved numbers which led her to a career in bookkeeping and later to enjoying many hours of playing Sudoku.  In her free time, she enjoyed reading and knitting baby hats.  She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church where she also spent time volunteering. 

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Donald Grotta; daughters, Bonnie (Jim) Brockberg of Clive, IA and Linda (Neil) Ankeny of Emmetsburg, IA; granddaughters, Emily (Chris) Langpaul and Linnea Ankeny; great grandchildren, Ella, Lily, and Brock Langpaul; and many nieces and nephews.

Ardis is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Kenny, and sister, Joyce.
