Robert “Digby” John Devens, 71, Mankato, died Saturday, September 7th, 2024 at home on hospice care surrounded by his family. Private family services will be held. woodlandhillsfh.com
Bob was born October 12, 1952 to Donald and Cecila (Nowak) Devens in Mankato. He was united in marriage to MaryLynn MacFarlane on December 21, 1981 in Madison Lake. For many years Bob worked as a Union Carpenter Local #464. He enjoyed the outdoors; fishing, camping, snowmobiling and four wheeling. Bob especially loved hunting specifically duck hunting. He had a cabin on Swan Lake for 50 years.
He is survived by his wife, MaryLynn Devens; sons, Thomas Andrew (Jessica) Devens and Daniel Robert (Ashley Ferguson) Devens; grandson Blake Thomas Devens; siblings, Jim Devens, Mary Jane Fitcher, and Julie Devens; and nieces and nephews.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ron Devens; and parent’s in-law, Mac and Marion MacFarlane.
