Bonnie Mae Kueker (Cochran) 89, of Mankato, Minnesota died peacefully on Saturday August 24, 2024 at her home after a brief illness.
Bonnie was born January 1,1935 in Garden City, Minnesota to Lyle and Edna Cochran. She graduated from Mankato High School. On February 1,1958 she married Werner (Vern) Kueker and they lived in Mankato, Minnesota. She worked in food service at the local hospital for nearly 50 years.
Bonnie was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She enjoyed baking and was known for her amazing banana bread. She also loved spending time with her family and was always ready for a game of Bingo.
Bonnie is survived by her daughters Linda Pirius of Rochester, Minnesota and Jody Hempel of Mankato, Minnesota, grandchildren Nick Pirius of Rochester, Minnesota, Tiffany (Andy) Hopfensperger of Appleton, Wisconsin and Ben Pirius of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and great grandchildren Drake and Nash Pirius of Byron, Minnesota, Lily and Lincoln Hopfensperger of Appleton, Wisconsin.
She was preceded in death by husband, parents, son-in-law Ken Pirius and brother Robert.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday August 31, 2024 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mankato, Minnesota with Pastor Joseph Naumann officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Cake and coffee will be served at the church after the burial at Woodland Hills Memorial Park in Mankato, Minnesota.
