Bonnie Schultz Obituary

Bonnie Lou Schultz, age 96, of Mapleton, died November 3, 2025 at Mapleton Community Home surrounded by family.  Services are held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 10th at St John’s Lutheran Church in Mapleton.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Woodland Hills Funeral Home in Mankato is handling arrangements.

Bonnie was born December 8, 1928 in Lyra Township to Otto and Rose (Lavitschke) Behnke.  She grew up in Mapleton.  On December 18, 1948 she married Darrell Hugo Schultz in Mapleton.

Bonnie was a homemaker and liked to play cards (Pfeffer), rummikube, canning as well as embroidery.  She was a very easy going, personable woman who would always have candy to give to the kids. Everyone who had the pleasure of meeting her loved her. Bonnie was a successful business women who owned and operated the Tavern in Beauford.

She was a lifetime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Mapleton.

Bonnie is survived by her grandchildren; Chris Schultz, Lisa Schultz-Hill(Christopher Hill) and Abby Schultz Tomisin(Timothy Tomisin); great grandchildren, Devyn Schultz-Salfer, MaKenna Hill, Timothy Tomisin Jr. and Ryker Tomisin; many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell and sons, Dennis and Gary and siblings.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to St. John’s Lutheran Church and Ecuman Hospice.
