In Memory of Andy Johnson Charles Andrew was born July 30, 1952 to Charles and Barbara (Braizer) Johnson. He was united in marriage to Marjorie Anne Colin on December 15, 1973 in Mankato. He graduated from Hamlin Law School in 1977 and worked as an attorney from 1978-2021.
He was known by many as Big Andy. Big Andy was a storyteller who enjoyed sharing his life experiences and childhood memories. His favorite quote was, “In spite of your rights, do the right thing.” He treasured many summer road-trips with his family, and continued to travel with his wife long after his children had families of their own. Andy was passionate about politics and riding his motorcycle — he enjoyed offering motorcycle rides to those who showed interest. Andy was dedicated to his career, and to his family and friends — sharing his knowledge and wisdom to all those who sought him. You could find Andy tending to the fire at every Christmas Eve family gathering — and he did this while singing or whistling a Christmas tune. In fact, no matter the season, Andy was often whistling a tune.
Andy is survived by wife, Marjorie Anne (Colin) Johnson of Mankato MN, son, Andrew Brian Charles Johnson of Mankato MN, daughters; Emily (Ryan) Patin of Carolina Beach NC, Elsbeth Johnson (Blake)of Madison Lake MN, Eyde Danberry (Zach) of North Mankato MN, brothers; Mark, James and Samuel, sister, Jennifer, and 5 grandchildren; Alexia, Lydia, Lucas, Deegan and Ace.
