Chudier “Mallo” Khon
February 3rd, 1995 – September 14th, 2024
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Chudier “Mallo” Khon of Mankato, MN on September 14, 2024, at age 29.
Chudier (Mallo) was Born on February 3rd, 1995, in Ifo Refugee Camp in Kenya, Mallo Khon was the beloved son of Khon Kueth Mar & Nyakaka Ruon Kuany.
Chudier (Mallo) arrived in the United States with his parents and older brother Buay Khon on June 5, 1995, he was 3 months old. Chudier (Mallo) grew up in both Omaha, Nebraska and Mankato, Minnesota.
Chudier (Mallo) started his Elementary School at Conestoga Magnet Elementary School (Omaha Public School) in 2002 where he started playing Basketball.
Chudier (Mallo) was drafted by the local Omaha Trail Blazers Basketball Team and played many Nebraska State tournaments. He played center and forward as well and he ranked 3rd because of him carrying his team to many tournaments.
Chudier (Mallo) attended Omaha Mars Magnet Middle School where he continued playing Basketball and attended Omaha North High School before he moved to Mankato, Minnesota in 2009.
Chudier (Mallo) attended Mankato East High School 2009-2010 season.
Chudier (Mallo) was working as a cook at various restaurants in Mankato. He loved to cook.
A devoted son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin and friend, Chudier (Mallo) is remembered for his warmth, kindness, and sense of humor. He had an infectious laugh and a unique ability to make everyone feel special. He loved playing basketball and spent countless hours spending time with family and friends.
Chudier (Mallo) is survived by his Parents: Nyakaka Ruon Kunay (Step-Dad Daniel Gatluak Puot Well), Khon Kueth Mar (Step-Mom Kim Luel Kier), Grandma: Wichieng Garang, Aunt: Nyanchiew Ruon Kuany, Siblings: Buay Khon, Nyaroam Khon, Nyajuok Khon, Nyamuoch Khon, Half-Sisters Nyakume Khon, Nyatuach Khon and Nyamat Khon, Cousins: Duol Lul, Lul Lul, Roth Lul, Maarnath Lul, Dunbiel Lul, Goy Mayan
who will carry on his legacy of love and compassion.
A visitation & memorial service will be held on 10/04/2024 & 10/06/2024.
Visitation: Friday, October 4th, 2024, at 5:00 PM at Woodland hills Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 1605 Woodland Ave, Mankato, MN 56001
Funeral Services: Sunday October 6th, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Mankato Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 210 Pohl Rd, Mankato, MN 56001
Cemetery: Glenwood Cemetery 12:00 PM, 711 Glenwood Ave, Mankato, MN 56001
In lieu of flowers can be made to either Woodland Hills Funeral or Family Home at 616 W Nathan Street, Lake Crystal, MN 56055.

Mallo Khon will be profoundly missed but will forever remain in our hearts as a guiding light.
