Dale Ashpole

Dale Ashpole died Monday July 10, 2023 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester.  Funeral services will be held at 10:30am Monday July 17, 2023 at Woodland Hills Funeral Chapel.  Visitation will be held from 1-4pm Sunday July 16 at Woodland Hills Funeral Chapel and will continue one hour prior to the services.  Interment will be at Woodland Hills Memorial Park.

Dale was born August 24, 1939 in Wells to Harold and Emily (Hayes) Ashpole. Dale served in the United States Army from Oct 16 1957 to Aug 2 1960.  He was united in marriage to Shirley Roessler on May 20, 1963 at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Minnesota Lake.  Dale spent 45+ years as an auto mechanic.  He began working with his father in the 1960s then joined his brother Paul and later worked with his sons at his own shop in Mankato.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing at the cabin with family and friends, playing softball in Mankato, dancing to polka and waltz music and spending time with family and grandkids. 

He is survived by wife, Shirley Ashpole of Mankato; sons Rick Ashpole (Nicole Lundgren) of Eagle Lake and Randy Ashpole (Stacey) of Maple Grove; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; brothers, William Ashpole of Waiawa, HI and Daniel Ashpole of Pine Island; and many nieces and nephews.

Dale is preceded in death by Harold and Emily Ashpole, Darryl and Jazmyn Ashpole, Floyd Ashpole, and Paul Ashpole.
