Dale Allan Gedde of rural North Mankato passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday April 30, 2024. He left this world peacefully with family and friends by his side.
He was born on January 19th, 1970 to Eugene and Joyce (Swenson) Gedde in St. Peter, MN. He then went on to graduate from Nicollet High School in the class of 1988. Dale was passionate about hunting, fishing, and spending time with his niece and nephew. An avid collector, Dale collected numerous coins, remote-controlled cars, and other oddities. He lived on the farm with Joyce in North Mankato and loved to take nightly drives with her and his dogs to spot deer, and to see the sunset. Dale was also passionate about repairing vehicles like tractors, ATVs, and lawnmowers. He also dabbled in creating embroidered towels, assembling model airplanes and battleships, and solving puzzles with Joyce. He is survived by his mother, Joyce Gedde, sister, Dona (Gedde) Dugger and her husband Derran Dugger, nephew, Cameron Dugger, niece, Alana Dugger, great aunt, Phyllis Dallmann, aunt, Jeanne Cox, several cousins, and his friends. He was preceded in death by his father Eugene Wayne Gedde.
There will be a visitation at the Woodland Hills Funeral Home from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, May 9th, 2024. On Friday, May 10th, 2024, at approximately 3:15 PM, a procession will leave Woodland Hills Funeral Home and arrive at the Hebron Cemetery 50785 Hebron Drive North Mankato, MN 56003 for a brief service around 3:45 PM. Immediately following the funeral, the family welcomes all to a celebration of Dale’s life at the Cox’s residence at; 49619 443rd Ave. North Mankato.
