Daniel Lee Olson

Daniel Lee Olson, age 63, died February 19, 2022 at Laurel’s Peak in Mankato, MN.  Memorial Mass will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Mankato. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service.  Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Mankato.

Daniel was born January 31, 1959 in Albert Lea, MN to Willman and Margaret (Loebner) Olson.  He graduated from Lake Crystal High School and in 1984 he graduated from Mankato Area Vocational Technical Institute.  He served in the United States Navy, being honorably discharged August 13, 1979. Daniel liked going for walks, reading, journaling and especially enjoyed spending time with his family.  He was an active member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.

Daniel is survived by his parents, Willman and Margaret Olson of Mankato; sisters, Donna Olson (Mike Shaughnessy) of Inver Grove Heights, MN and Kathleen Dale of Kasota, MN; nephews, Dillon (Alyssa) Dale, Jacob Dale and Nick Dale.  He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Robert Dale.
