Delbert H. Miller, 88, Vernon Center, MN died Friday January 16, 2026 at Abbot NW Hospital in Minneapolis. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am Saturday, January 24, 2026 at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Vernon Center. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the church.
Delbert was born April 28, 1937 in rural Lake Crystal to Walter and Hazel (Thorson) Miller. He served in the United States Army and worked as a long haul driver for Shari Candies of Mankato for nearly 40 years. On September 30, 1961 Delbert married Lavonne R. Fischer. He always enjoyed hunting and fishing. Then in retirement he enjoyed attending auctions, and working on his tractors with a special interest in Allis Chalmers and wintering in Florida and Arizona.
He is survived by wife, Lavonne Miller of Vernon Center; daughter, Kim Thissen (Jeff); sons, Rick (Colleen) Miller of Madison Lake and Chris (Sarah) Miller of Good Thunder; grandchildren, Erika Thissen (Russell), Jacob Thissen (Jaclyn), Zack Miller, Logan Miller, Hannah Graham (Luke) and Cole Miller (Lisa); great grandchildren, Mia & Ramsey Graham, Jay, Justin, & Jeremiah Thissen; and many nieces & nephews.
Delbert is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jean Keech; brother, Walton Miller: brother in- law Jack Keech; and sister in- law, Karen Fischer.
