Dennis Van Johnson, 78, passed away peacefully on May 7th, 2024 at Ridgeview Sibley Medical Center in Arlington, MN.
He was born on September 19th, 1945 in Mankato, MN to Cleo Francis (Hennegar) and Joseph Johnson. He was beloved to many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Dennis is survived by Wife Roberta Johnson, Daughters Tonya Flesner, Tammy and husband Scott Gens, and Terra Johnson, Sons Tyrell and Krissy Nimmo-Hanson, Dennis, and Jeremiah Johnson and his wife Erynn, Adopted Son Andrew Johnson, Sisters Sharon, Suzanne Pautsch, Victoria Landgren, Roxanne Johnson, Margaret Joswich and her husband Alan, and Joni Gilman and her husband Dave, Brothers Matt and Mark Ziegler and his wife Louellen, and Grandchildren Lonnie and his wife Elizabeth Flesner, Chris Flesner and Michelle Breamer, Lindsey Gens, Kayla Gens,Tiffany Smith, Talon Johnson, Lucy Kolstad, and Liam Woodside.
Dennis was preceded in death by Parents Cleo Ziegler (Hennegar), Joseph Johnson, Robert Coopman and Kay Coopman and Patricia Coopman (Edmondson), Sisters Becky, Louella and Frank Volk, and Sandy and Dave Manning, Brothers Donny, Terry, and Randy, Brothers-in-law Gary Landgren and Ben Meyer, Sister-in-law Joanne Johnson, Daughter Torrie, and Son Josh.
Dennis touched the lives of many with his kindness, warmth, and humor. He will be fondly remembered and cherished forever.
A Visitation and Funeral will be held on Saturday, May 11th at Woodland Hills Memorial Chaple in Mankato, MN at noon with a gathering at Bray park (Upper Pavilion) in Madison Lake, MN at 4pm. All friends and family are welcome to attend and celebrate his life.
The family of Dennis would like to express gratitude to those that can attend and condolences to those that were also touched by this incredible loss.
