Don N. Manderfield, age 63 of Mankato, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems-Mankato.
A Celebration of Don’s Life will be Sunday, July 14, 2024 from 1 P.M.- 5 P.M. at the Morson-Ario-Strand VFW Post #950 1900 N. Riverfront Dr. Mankato, MN 56001. Arrangements by Woodland Hills Funeral Home of Mankato. www.woodlandhillsfh.com
Don was born January 23, 1961 in Mankato to Don Manderfield and Rita Manderfield (Christ). Don grew up in Mankato, Mn, Don attended Mankato West High School, and South Central for auto body. Don met Michelle Black at Mankato West High, they built their family of 4 sons, Ryan Manderfield (Ashley Hoehn) of Eagle Lake, Nathan Manderfield (Rexann Helder) of Lake Crystal, Corey (Alyssa) Black of Mankato, and Joshua Black (Victoria Partridge) of North Mankato. Grandchildren, Taylor, Travis, Lianna, Alana, Cash, Kailynn, Braylon, Jaxon, Zaila, and Emma, Brayden, Carter, and McKinzi. Don is also survived by siblings, Mickey Manderfield and Todd Manderfield of Simi Valley California, Jon Manderfield of Arizona, Julie Melosa of Arizona. Mother and Father- in-law Rita and Stan Christ of Blue Earth, Mn. By many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Don is preceded in death by his Father and Mother (Step) Don and Jill Manderfield, Mother and Father-in-law Leo and Sharon Black, Brother-in-law Leo “Moose” Black, Sister-in-law Lorrie Weber.
Don’s love for his family and racing will always be remembered and cherished by those who knew him.
