Eric Joseph Joerg was born to Richard and Deborah Joerg on June 7, 1974 at Wurtsmith Air Force Base in the tiny township of Oscoda, Michigan. He joined his older brother Craig, born 20 months earlier. The family moved back to his parents‘ hometown of Mankato in 1975.  When Eric was 5 years old he was joined by his baby sister, Laurie. Eric was in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts in his younger years. He graduated from Mankato East in 1996 and continued his education at Mankato State University earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and a Degree of Associated Arts. Eric was employed for many years at EI Microcircuits and sister company Ninja and was the highest level Technician V.  Eric’s amazing photography delighted many and his genuine kindness, smile and gentle way touched many. He also was passionate about nature, hiking, biking, traveling, snorkeling in oceans, gardening, concerts, cats and dragons. Eric was loved by his family, friends and all who met him. His cheery “mornin” greeted all, no matter the time of day.

Eric left wonderful memories to be cherished by his parents, Dick Joerg (Audrey) of Mankato and Deb Joerg of North Mankato; brother, Craig Joerg (Rachael) and their 2 children Cody and Madison of North Mankato; sister, Laurie Joerg (Mike Johnson) of Good Thunder and her 4 children Ethan, Hailie, Jasmine and Ashley (Brandon Hanson) and their 2 children, great nieces Lyla and Zoey; extra special friend, Jeff Matejcek of Cleveland and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Last, but not least, his beloved cats Saffy and Patsy.

Eric was proceeded in death by his Grandparents Carroll and Betty Joerg and Gene and Audrey Halverson. May He Rest In Peace With Them.

A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Eric’s life will held at a later date.
