George later married Janice (Karau) in 1998.
George was a dedicated husband, father and worker. He loved working with his hands and building anything from cars, trains, planes, woodworking, a family home, and heavy construction equipment. He worked for Ziegler/CAT for 38 years.
George had many hobbies and interests including gardening, traveling and had a love for anything with an engine or wheels. He enjoyed drag racing with his family and friends, RC planes, model trains (including a large-scale track in his backyard, complete with tunnels and handmade buildings) and working on all heavy and off-road equipment. Many people have said, “if George couldn’t fix it, it couldn’t be fixed”. George enjoyed days spent with family and friends and adored his dogs.
