George Charles Rosati, age 81, of Mankato, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024. George was born to George and Carolyn (Kuhrt) on October 13, 1942 in Sioux City Iowa.
After high school at the age of 17 he served in the U.S. Coast Guard from June 1960 until honorably discharged July 1967.
George then attended Jackson State University and graduated with a B.S. Degree.
George spent much of his career with the City of Mankato as the Public Works Director. George was past chairman of AWWA, WEF and APWA.
On October 9, 1995, George married Terry Kalk in Eureka Springs, AR.
George enjoyed golf, Pheasant hunting with his dog Heini, walking and cooking gourmet meals for family and friends.
Left to cherish George's memory is his wife Terry, Sister Linda Paulsen (Walt), children Andrea Rosati, Christopher Rosati, and stepchildren Sherie Hanson (Troy), Denise Drewes (Chad), and Darren Kalk (Sarah), Seven Grandchildren, Two great grandchildren, nephews, nieces and his fur-babies Luke and Lucy.
George was preceded in death by his parents: George and Carolyn Rosati, and grandfather Charles N. Kuhrt.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 2, 2024 at the Venue, 1850 Madison Avenue, 11:30.-3:00 pm.
A family burial will be held Friday, May 3, 2024 at 11:00 am at Memorial Park Cemetery next to his Grandfather Charles N. Kuhrt in Sioux City, IA. Woodland Hills Funeral Home of Mankato is assisting the family with arrangements. www.woodlandhillsfh.com
