Gladys F. Dagan, age 98 of Eagle Lake, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025 at Mapleton Community Home.
Private family services were held. Interment was in St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in St. Clair. Arrangements by Woodland Hills Funeral Home of Mankato. www.woodlandhillsfh.com
Gladys Fern was born on April 16, 1927 to Robert and Helena (Schoenfeld) Braun in Freedom Township, Waseca County, Minnesota. She was baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Freedom Township, and confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Waldorf by Rev. E.H.C. Mueller. Gladys graduated from Pemberton High School in 1945. On June 15, 1950 she was united in marriage to Donald P. Dagan at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Freedom Township, Waseca County. After their marriage Gladys and Donald resided on the family farm for 7 years before moving to Eagle Lake. During this time she was employed by E.F. Johnson in Waseca, and later Hunter Produce in St. Clair. Gladys and Donald raised their family in Eagle Lake, and enjoyed traveling with their children over the years.
She is survived by her son, Brian (Gina) Dagan of Eagle Lake; daughter, Brenda Wilcox of Mapleton; 6 grandchildren and their spouses; 6 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; son-in-law, Victor Wilcox; 2 brothers; 3 sisters.
The Dagan Family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses at MCHS-Mankato, the staff at Mapleton Community Home, and St. Croix Hospice for the wonderful care given to Gladys. She is now Celebrating Christmas in Heaven.
