Jeffrey John “Hippy” Bentdahl, age 52, of Mankato, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
A Memorial Ride in Hippy’s honor will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, with kickstands up at 11:00 a.m. at the Oleander Saloon (701 N. Riverfront Dr., Mankato, MN 56001). A Celebration of Life will follow at 3:00 p.m., also at the Oleander Saloon.
Hippy was born on March 16, 1973, in Mankato, Minnesota, to Dean and Winnie (Bell) Bentdahl. He attended Mankato West High School and worked for many years as a pipefitter before most recently applying his skills as a mechanic at Rock Street Auto.
A passionate motorcycle enthusiast, Hippy found joy on the open road and in the company of friends and family. He was especially proud of his son, A.J., who was the light of his life.
He is survived by his mother, Winnie Bentdahl of Mankato; his girlfriend, Nicole Carlson of Mankato; his son, Alexander John “A.J.” Bentdahl of Mankato; his brother, Brian (Valerie) Bentdahl of Mankato; and nephews Tyler, Kaden, and Chase.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dean C. Bentdahl.
Woodland Hills Funeral Home of Mankato is assisting the family with arrangements.
