Jennifer Lynn Cassman, age 63 of Mankato, MN, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at MCHS Rochester - Methodist Campus after a brave fight against lymphoma.

Services will be held at a later date. Woodland Hills Funeral Home of Mankato is assisting the family with arrangements.

Jennifer was born on December 8, 1958, to Robert and Margaret (Amundson) Weihe in Minneapolis, MN. She was baptized in the Lutheran Church of the Triune God in Brooklyn Center, MN, and confirmed at Messiah Lutheran Church in North Mankato, MN. Jennifer graduated from Mankato West High School in 1977 and attended school at Gustavus Adolphus College in St Peter, MN, then graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1981. On June 28, 1980, Jennifer married her soulmate Dennis Roger Cassman at Christ Chapel in St Peter, MN. Jennifer and Dennis spent years traveling and working throughout Minnesota, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Virginia. They later returned to Mankato, MN, to raise their two daughters, MacKenzie and Morgan. For over 20 years, Jennifer was a beloved children's librarian at the Blue Earth County Library. She greatly supported and encouraged reading in the community and was a generous donor for the Greater Mankato Area United Way. She also enjoyed gardening, traveling, camping, and spoiling her granddaughter Evie.

Jennifer is survived by her husband, Dennis of Mankato, MN; daughter MacKenzie (Andrew) Kaveny of Mankato, MN; daughter Morgan Cassman of Nicollet, MN; granddaughter Evelyn Kaveny of Mankato, MN; father Jack Weber of Plymouth, MN; mother Margaret Weber of Watkins, MN; mother-in-law Lucille Cassman of Mankato, MN; brother Bruce Monkkonen of Maple Lake, MN; brother John Weber of St Clair, MN; brother Mark (Lisa) Weber of Plymouth, MN; sister Ann (Warren) Selix of Watkins, MN; brother-in-law Greg (Lori) Cassman of Marshfield, MA; and many nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her biological father Robert Weihe, her grandparents, and father-in-law, Dale Cassman.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Cassman family.
