Jerome Phillip Groebner, 79, Mankato died Friday November 28, 2025 at MCHS -Mankato, just four weeks following the death of his beloved wife. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am Friday December 5th, 2025 at Ss. Peter & Pauls’ Catholic Church in Mankato. Visitation will be held form 3- 7 pm Thursday December 4th at Woodland Hills Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to the services at the church. Memorials are preferred to Loyola Catholic School or Singing Hills Chorus.
Jerry was born in Mankato on January 7, 1946 to Willard and Leora (Seesz) Groebner. He graduated from Loyola High School Class of 1964. Jerry was united in marriage to Marie Schraml on July 3, 1965 at All Saint’s Catholic Church in Madison Lake. Together, they raised four children and his family was his greatest joy. He worked in retail management, was a business owner, and insurance salesman. In his free time, Jerry enjoyed photography, gardening, playing cards, music, politics and local government, conversing, and BSA leadership.
Music was very important to Jerry. He was involved in many choirs over the years, including the Riverblenders. Jerry along with his wife, started the All-Saints Choir. In his later years, he sang with the Singing Hills Chorus with his wife and many friends.
He is survived by sons, Robert (Deb), Russell, and Richard (Debbie); daughter, Robin (Jay); grandchildren, Jimmy (Jen), Jenny (Clay), Courtney (Chad), Ben, Mylei (Darren) and Emma (Joel); great grandchildren, Brayden, Zoey, Waylon, and Teddy; brother, Dave (Christine) Groebner: and other relatives, Dennis and Emily and their son Ben.
Jerry is preceded in death by his wife, Marie; parents; brothers, Willard (Butch) and Daniel, sister in- law, Cathy; brothers in - law, Gayle (Sandy) and Gary (Judy); Sister Mary Beth (Jane), parents in-law, Francis and Lorraine Schraml: and son in-law, Michael
