JoAnn Sargent

JoAnn Sargent, 84, St. Peter died Tuesday April 23, 2024.  A visitation will be held from 4-7pm Monday April 29, 2024 at Woodland Hills Funeral Chapel with a prayer service at 6:30pm.  Private interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery Mankato.  woodlandhillsfh.com

JoAnn was born May 25, 1939 in Grand Rapids, MN to Harry and Myrtle (Strand) Patnaude.  She graduated from Good Counsel Academy.  On June 27, 1959 JoAnn was united in marriage to Darwin Sargent in Mankato.  She worked in various occupations but prior to her retirement she was the manager of the St. Peter Thrift Store.  In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, baking, puzzles, volunteering at the food shelf and reading.  JoAnn was a member of the St. Peter Catholic Church. 

She is survived by brother, Bill Patnaude (Scott Veroeven)  of Mankato; sons, Mark (Kathryn) Sargent of Mankato and Rick (Cindy) Sargent of St. Peter; daughters, Michelle (Kevin) Oachs of Eagle Lake and Amy (Gary) Brown of Eva, TN;  grandchildren, Kristi Vogt, Kyle Brown, Samantha Hansen, Danielle Hansen, Andrew Sargent, Travis Sargent, Kayla Smisek, Thom Sargent, Dustin Sargent, Dylan Sargent, Bradley Sargent, and Alex Campbell; great grandchildren, Jayse Vogt, Leah Vogt, Arianna Sargent, Evelyn Sargent and Curtis Sargent; many nieces and nephews. 

JoAnn is preceded in death by her husband, Darwin, parents; son, Christopher; and sister, Carol Patnaude.
