John Lundholm Obituary

John Arnold Lundholm of rural St. Peter passed away peacefully late in the evening of December 30, 2021. He is survived by his wife Charlotte, 7 children, 6 grandchildren, and 3 sisters, and was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and two brothers.

John was born on April 26, 1931, the eldest of 7 children, and lived on the same homestead for the rest of his life. John was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on January 14, 1951 and remained an active member of the Mankato congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses for the rest of his life. He enjoyed sharing with others his Bible-based hope of a beautiful future on earth under God’s Kingdom. He was known for being a hard-working farmer, an honest employee as a machinist, and a loyal and hospitable friend.  Along with his wife and children he enjoyed having friends and family visit for music, card games, and meals, especially lutefisk. He also enjoyed working on his Oliver tractors, and always kept a watchful eye on the weather. He enjoyed a meaningful life working hard to care for his wife and children, both materially and spiritually. Much could be said about someone who lived for 90 years, but it comes down to this: He lived a long and satisfying life, as so many servants of Jehovah before him did. He will be missed by all who knew him. We look forward to welcoming him back on a paradise earth under the care of God’s Kingdom, the same paradise that he so enjoyed telling others about.
