Joseph Hoehn Obituary

 

Joseph Daniel Hoehn, age 84, of Mankato, MN died Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Mayo Clinic Health System-Mankato. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Mankato.  Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service.  Interment with military honors will be at Woodland Hills Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. John the Baptist Journey to Justice.  Woodland Hills Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Joe was born December 30, 1937 in Mankato, MN to Clare and Marie (Loeffler) Hoehn. He graduated from Mankato high school and enlisted in the US Army from 1955-1958,
serving in France. He married Betty Lemons on November 26, 1960 and later divorced.  On July 30, 1999 he married Beverly Hultengren. Beverly died in 2012. He married Sylvia Hewett on January 10, 2015. Joe owned a service station on Belgrade Ave in lower North Mankato for over 40 years. When he wasn't working he enjoyed bowling, fishing, playing cards and especially time spent with his family. In earlier years he also enjoyed stock car racing and snowmobiling. He was a member of the Mankato Eagles club for over 50 years.

Joe is survived by his wife Sylvia; children, Daniel Hoehn of Waterville, MN Dennis (Linda) Hoehn of Mankato, Pamela Michel of Chandler, Arizona,  Scott Hoehn of Pine City, MN and Teresa Hoehn of Fairfax, CA; brothers and sisters; Donna Schmit, Frank Hoehn, William Hoehn, James Hoehn, Lorraine Busch, 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his brothers, Leonard, Harry, Phillip and sister, Marjorie Schroeder.
