Joyce K. Hubbard, age 82 of Mankato, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at Cottagewood Senior Communities in Mankato.

A Celebration of Joyce’s Life will be on Monday, November 21, 2022 at 11 A.M. at Hosanna Lutheran Church in Mankato, with Pastor Mike Omtvedt officiating. Interment will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Preston, Minnesota.

The Hubbard Family will greet friends on Sunday afternoon from 2-5 P.M. at Woodland Hills Funeral Home in Mankato, and will continue on Monday morning for one hour prior to services at church. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred. Woodland Hills Funeral Home of Mankato is handling arrangements.

Joyce Kathleen was born on August 27, 1940 to Delmar and Sophia (Humburg) Lawrence in Blue Earth, MN. She was baptized and confirmed at St Paul’s Lutheran Church. Joyce graduated from Blue Earth High School in 1958 and then attended nurses training at Fairview Hospital School of Nursing in Minneapolis, MN to become a registered nurse, graduating in 1961. On October 14, 1962 she was united in marriage to Arlyn L. Hubbard of Winnebago, MN. Joyce worked at Immanuel Hospital and St. Joseph’s Immanuel Hospital in Mankato, MN. Arlyn and Joyce started vacationing in an RV in 1970 until 2013.  They traveled extensively in the U.S. and Canada. Joyce loved to travel, garden, read, play cards, cook and quilt.

She is survived by her husband, Arlyn of Mankato; daughter’s, Brenda Juliar and Karna Hubbard; sister, Barbara (Morris) Hanson of Blue Earth; 3 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Donna Lawrence; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Delmar and Sophia Lawrence; brother, Wayne Lawrence; and nephew, Delmar Lawrence.
