Juan Gonzalez

Juan Gonzalez, age 76 of North Mankato, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at his home in North Mankato, surrounded by his family.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, December 20, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church 632 S. Broad St. Mankato, Minnesota 56001 with Fr. John Kunz Celebrant.

Visitation will be for one hour prior to services at the church. A reception to be held following the Mass in Mathews Hall. Woodland Hills Funeral Home of Mankato is assisting the family with arrangements.

Although Juan is no longer with us, his sprit lives on in the simple joys he cherished, reminding us to embrace life with the same enthusiasm he did. His love for being outside was contagious; whether we were embarking on a family hike or simply sitting together in the backyard, he always found peace in the beauty of nature. His garden was a testament to his patience and nurturing spirit, each flower and plant thriving under his care, much like his beloved grandchildren, whom he adored spending time with. He would often gather them and play the harmonica or cheer then on during soccer matches, sharing their laughter and excitement. His legacy is a vivid tapestry of love, wisdom, and zest for life. His memory will inspire us to find joy in nature’s embrace and the warmth of family bonds.

He is survived by his wife, Graciela Gonzalez; Son, Oscar Gonzalez and Erin Gonzalez (Spouse); daughter, Jessica Gonzalez and Ernesto Gonzalez (Spouse); grandchildren, Logan Gonzalez and Lucia Gonzalez.
