Laura E. Busch, age 67 of Madison Lake, passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems-St. Mary’s Campus in Rochester.
A Celebration of Laura’s Life will be Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 2 P.M. at Woodland Hills Chapel in Mankato, with Pastor John Petersen officiating.
The Busch Family will greet friends on Wednesday afternoon from 12 P.M. (Noon) until the hour of services at Woodland Hills Funeral Home.
Laura Ellen was born June 27th 1954 to William Ruch and Dorothy Ganzel Ruch (Volk) in Mankato, Minnesota. Laura graduated from Mankato High School in 1972. On May 12th 1973 she was united in marriage to George Martin Busch at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mankato, Minnesota. Laura was a stay-at-home mom for her three children until she began working for Bolton and Menk, Inc. where she was employed for 36 years. She was a member of the Madison Lake Historical Society. Those who knew her admired her artistic ability which she put on display in her recent endeavor renting a sales space at Pond Road Market. She loved buying, refurbishing and selling her latest treasures. Laura enjoyed spending time with her husband, three children, seven grandchildren and extended family. She loved her dogs, gardening and being outdoors in nature.
She is survived by her husband, George; son, Jaimie Busch of Mankato; daughters, Kelly (Marty) Garvin of Ft. Collins, CO, Anna (Matt) Young of St. Clair, MN; grandchildren, Jacob, Sam, and Noah Busch, Olivia and Luke Garvin, Katelyn and Meg Young; brothers, Bill (Elaine) Ruch, Frank (Lisa) Volk; sisters, Clare (Gary) Ferguson, Karen (Andy) Caravas, Lou Ann Gentry, Terri Jo Ruch, Linda (Rich) Melvin, Kathy (Roger) Albrecht; sister-in-law, Linda (Phil) Borgmeier; daughter-in-law, Noelle Busch.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Frank Volk; William Ruch; parents-in-law, George and Evelyn Busch; brothers, Rick Volk and Tim Volk.
