LeAnn June Zenk, age 96 of Mankato, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems-New Prague.
Funeral service will be on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 11 A.M. at Our Savior Lutheran Church 1103 N. Broad St. Mankato, MN 56001, with Pastor Adam Matheny officiating. Interment will be in Woodland Hills Memorial Park.

LeAnn June Zenk was born June 1, 1927 in Willow Creek Minnesota to Edward and Ida(Slager) Zenk. She graduated with honors at Amboy Minnesota. She was secretary of her class as well as the salutatorian. She was active in several vocal organizations and enjoyed library work. Her plan was to study nursing following graduation. She was confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran in Amboy Minnesota with her sister Evelyn.
LeAnn was a specialist at the Social Security Administration in Mankato traveling southern Minnesota as needed. She enjoyed visits from her nieces and nephews during the summer for her afternoon break that always needed to be cookies and coffee. In her later years she would meet her sister Evelyn and niece Linda Ann every Friday for breakfast before going to work.
LeAnn was active at Our Saviors attending weekly bible studies, caring for flowers during the summer, singing in the choirs and “walking” indoors during the winter. She enjoyed traveling, reading, fishing, daily crosswords, hunting, daily walking and spending time with family.
LeAnn is survived by her nieces Linda Ann Krueger of Madison, WI, Marcia(Steve) Gustafson of Mankato, nephews Mark(Betty) Krueger of Eagan, MN and Joel(Linda Liz) Krueger of Burnsville, MN; great nephews Dr. Evan(Kala) Krueger of Green Bay, WI, great niece Britta (Kirby) Murra of Ankeny, IA, Jordan, Lukas, Jon and Laura Krueger of Burnsville, MN, Shaun (Nicole) Sauve of Minneapolis, MN, great-great nieces Nora Evelyn Krueger of Green Bay, WI, Etta Rose Krueger of Green Bay, WI, Addison Marie Murra of Ankeny, IA, great-great nephew Jack Hudson Krueger of Green Bay, WI, cousin Rev. Roger Lange and special friend Marvin Fritz of Mapleton, MN
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Evelyn, and brother-in-law, Raymond Krueger.
