Lewis Manderfield

Lewis Donald Manderfield, 97, St. Peter, died Friday December 26, 2025 at Benedictine Living Community in St Peter.  A visitation will be held from 10- 11am Monday, January  5, 2026 at Woodland Hills Funeral Chapel followed by a graveside service at 11am at Woodland Hills Outdoor Mausoleum.   woodlandhillsfh.com.

Lewis was born August 26, 1928 in New Ulm.  Lewis was united in marriage to Geraldine “Jeri” Ann Cox on December 27, 1950.  He was a Sergeant in the Marines, serving from November 29 1945- November 28, 1948.  Lewis retired from the Dotson Company.  In his free time, he had a passion for gardening and music.  He was always singing a song.  Having huge flower and vegetable gardens, he shared what he grew with friends and family. Lewis especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, sharing with them the stories of his life’s journey. 

He is survived by son, Mark (Gail) Manderfield; daughters, Christine (Todd) Leiferman, Caren (Doug) Stensby, Patti (Fred) Fredrickson, Peggy (Mark) Mettler, and Paige (Tim) Manderfield; grandchildren, Heather, Bree, Erin, Scott, Molly, Kelly, Josh, Noah, Nate, Todd, Megan, Jordan, Brooke and Eric; 17 great grandchildren; half-sister, Jan Glackler; and many nieces and nephews.

Lewis is preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Geraldine; parents; sons, David and Scott; daughter, Pam; siblings, Dorothy Jeanette, and Donald.
