Linda Joyce O'Meara

Linda Joyce O’Meara, age 71, of Mankato passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Mayo Clinic Health Care System-Mankato.  Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Woodland Hills Chapel in Mankato with Fr. Tim Reker officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service.  Interment will be at Hankinson, North Dakota.

Linda was born December 1, 1950 in Hankinson, North Dakota to Harry and Priscilla (Wilm) Medenwald. She graduated from St. Francis Academy in Hankinson and attended NDSCS in Wahpeton, North Dakota.  She worked as a para in school district #77 Mankato for 42 years.

Family was very important to Linda.  She enjoyed vacations and attending various family functions, was an avid bowler, liked playing bingo, shopping and going to garage sales.  She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Linda is survived by her son, Tony O’Meara of Hankinson ND; son-in-law, Joseph Anderson (Pam) of Flintville, TN. grandsons, Tyler and Trey Anderson of Flintville, TN; brother, Glen Medenwald of Lake Crystal, MN; several brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, she is also survived by her beloved cat, Ruby.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Jennifer Anderson; sister, Janice Dollinger; nephew, Scott Dollinger; sister-in-law, Carol Medenwald; and brother-in-law, Ed Dollinger.
