Lyle Eugene Coult, age 72 of St. Clair, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.

Private graveside services with military honors will be held at Woodland Hills Memorial Park in Mankato. A Celebration of Lyle’s Life will be held at a later date. Woodland Hills Funeral Home of Mankato is assisting the family with arrangements.

Lyle Eugene Coult was born August 1, 1950 in Mankato, MN to Charley and Loretta (Lotton) Coult. After graduating from high school he served in the US Army where he was a cook and an MP.

On June 7, 1975 he married Nila Oates in St. Peter, MN.  He worked many years as a black topper for SMC in Mankato, retiring in 2012.

Lyle loved to watch westerns, going to casinos, and in his earlier years he liked to go camping.  He was a member of International Union of Operating Engineers 49ers and St. Clair American Legion.

Lyle is survived by his wife, Nila; 1 son, Lance Coult of St. Clair; 3 daughters, Leslie (Jess) Poehler of Good Thunder, Sara (Troy) Hendley of Elysian, Kristy (Jeremy) Byrne of St. Clair; 6 grandchildren, Riley, Cyndal, Charley, Jameson, Ethan and Noah; 1 brother, Leslie Coult of Amboy.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 10 brothers and sisters.
