Marc R. Buchanan, age 77 of Mankato, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems-Mankato.

Private services will be held. Interment will be in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Woodland Hills Funeral Home of Mankato is handling arrangements.

Marc Randall was born on January 5, 1945 to Stewart and Minetta (Clausen) Buchanan in Waterloo, Iowa. After attending high school, he entered the United States Navy and served on the USS Midway in communications from February 17, 1963 until his honorable discharge on February 14, 1965. For many years he was a longshoreman in the shipping industry before moving to the Mankato area later in life. Marc was an avid Minnesota Twins fan and enjoyed all sports, and loved baseball card collecting.

He is survived by his sister, Carol (Larry) Atkinson; brother, Brian Jones; very special friend, Michelle Fasnacht; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers; 2 sisters.
