Mark David Nelson, age 63, of Mankato died suddenly, March 1, 2025 at his home. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
Mark was born, December 14, 1961 in Mankato, MN to Merlyn and Eleanor (Garver) Nelson. He worked as a truck driver for Lorentz & Sons Construction. Mark enjoyed doing outdoor activities with his cousins, Michael Baker and David Knutson. He enjoyed the Native American Heritage and frequently went to events. He was a faithful member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Mankato. His family was everything to him.
Mark is survived by his mother, Eleanor Flores of Mankato; brothers, Jonathan Nelson of North Mankato and Enrique Flores of California; sisters, Rhonda Nelson of Mapleton, MN and Angelique Cox of Texas; nieces and nephews, Angel, Amanda, and Aaron Honetschlager of Mankato, Amber, Adam and Nick Nelson, and Corey Collmann all of Mapleton; great nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Fedder of CO, Destiny Palmquist of Mankato, Riley & Pablo Honetschlager, and Isabelle Joel all of Mankato. Lots more family as well.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John & Florella Garver, and Eunice Nelson ; his father, Merlyn Nelson, and his sister, Wanda Sargent.
