Matthew Charles Anton

Matthew Charles Anton, age 42, of Waseca, MN died December 28, 2021 at his home.  Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Woodland Hills Chapel in Mankato with Pastor Jay Dahlvang officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service.  Interment will be at Woodland Hills Memorial Park.

Matthew was born July 9, 1979 in Mankato, MN to Dennis and Marsha (Detlefsen) Anton.  He graduated from West High School in 1998 and received an Associate Degree from South Central College in 2001.  While in school he worked part time in food service. He worked at Brown Printing for many years until the company closed.  He recently was employed at Winegars as a machinist.  Matthew liked fishing, cooking, going out to eat and going to the casino with his friends.  He was devoted to his 3 cats.

Matthew is survived by his mother, Marsha Anton of Mankato; brothers, Larry (Heidi) Lohre of Mankato, Gary (Tricia) Lohre of Glenwood; sisters Nancy (David) Guiterrez of Hinesville, GA and Anita Anton of Marathon, IA; aunt, Jane Detlefsen of Redwood Falls, MN, uncles, Mark (Linda) Detlefsen of Lester Prairie, MN and Keith Detlefesen of Atwater, MN; 4 cousins and 2^nd and 3^rd cousins; 6 nephews and 8 nieces.  He is also survived by good friends, Star Wallace, John Peterson and Royce Wegner. He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, Norma and Robert Detlefsen and 1 aunt, Donna Detlefsen.
