Floral Rules and Regulations

No planting of any kind is permitted in any section of the cemetery other than by the cemetery. Glass containers of any kind are prohibited on graves and will be removed by the caretakers.  Only flowers in permanent marker vases are allowed in the cemetery after the Memorial Day observance.  Cut flowers, artificial flowers, and keepsakes will be removed from marker vases when they become unsightly. Potted plants may not be sunk into the ground. There is to be no dumping of flowerpots or planters on gravesites or cemetery property. No glass or tin cans of any kind.

Memorial Day Flowers and Decorations ~ Those that are not in permanent vases may be placed the Monday prior to Memorial Day (May 22, 2023) and must be removed by the Monday following Memorial Day (June 5, 2023). Even though the cemetery does allow this length of time, there have been incidents the last few years where someone removed potted plants and decorations, not belonging to them, the day after Memorial Day, thus it may be in your best interest to remove them sooner if you wish to keep them. Should you see someone taking decorations and you know that they are not their property please notify a cemetery official.

Flags ~ Flags for Veteran graves will be permitted the Friday before, during and one day following Memorial Day. Flags are placed by the cemetery on over 1000 veterans graves, should a veterans grave be missed please contact a cemetery official and a flag will be provided for Memorial Day Observance.

Grave Location Maps ~ If you need help locating a grave we would be happy to provide you with a map for specific graves.  If you would like a map to grave locations please contact us two business days prior to your visit.  As our schedules are so unpredictable we are unable to guarantee staff availability to provide or produce grave location maps on short or no notice.  You may request maps via phone (507) 387 - 5504 or email brekdar@charter.net - Thank You
