Milo “Mike” Cheney age 82 of Mankato passed away on Nov 7th at the age of 83. Mike was born 7-24-41 to Archie and Audrey (Ward) Cheney in Mapleton MN. He grew up on a farm and graduated from Mapleton High School. After graduation, Mike proudly served his country with the US Marines as a helicopter mechanic. After retirement Mike worked for Crown Iron as a consultant and traveled to China, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil and Dubai helping to start up new soybean plants. Mike was an avid outdoorsman and could often be found hunting, fishing and shooting trap and clay targets. Through his retirement he was an active member of the conservation club and enjoyed his hobbies with family and friends anytime the opportunity arose. Anyone who knew Mike, knew he could fix anything and he would spend many hours working on projects in his shop. Mike loved his family and enjoyed all the time and memories they made together. He will be remembered as a loving and loyal husband, dad, grandpa, and friend.
